The company said the new feature is designed to offer instant and realistic feedback from a mock server, which functions the same as its live servers. As the Ripple team states, the development allows developers to get instant feedback when they send simulated API requests to a particular endpoint.

The “Try It” feature has been used on various API services like the Report Service API, the Smart Liquidation Payments API, and the Ripple Payments API, Ripple highlighted. In the official statement, Ripple claimed:

“The product docs team is working on enabling this feature on the Ripple Payments Direct API reference doc pages soon. Stay tuned for additional updates,”

The Ripple team explained that developers can use the “Try It” button to launch the testing interface, then enter data and submit the request.

The team further revealed that the interface will display the endpoint’s responses based on the input parameters, providing valuable insights into how the API would function under similar conditions.

The team noted that the feature will help developers in various ways. The company explained that it allows testing without the standard setup and also speeds up the first exploration and familiarization stage. According to Ripple, the new feature lowers the entry barrier for amateur developers or users assessing the feature for potential integration.

The team also mentioned that by eradicating the requirement for a contracting process to gain access to testing elements, the company has improved the integration timeline for both amateur and expert developers.
