Cypherpunk Names Valkyrie Co-Founder as President and CEO

Crypto investment firm Cypherpunk Holdings announced Tuesday that Leah Wald has been appointed its president and chief executive officer (CEO).
Wald, a board member at Cypherpunk for almost three years, is a co-founder at Valkyrie Investments, where she also served as CEO. During her four-year tenure, the asset manager listed five Bitcoin futures ETFs on Nasdaq and amassed $1.3 billion in assets under management (AUM) in a record year.
Wald Steps at the Helm of Cypherpunk
According to the official press release , Wald’s appointment replaces Antanas Guoga as Cypherpunk CEO. Guoga will continue serving the company as a chairman and director.

Wald welcomed the appointment, noting that leading Cypherpunk’s next growth phase was an honor. The crypto industry veteran said her first goal was to review the company’s business strategy and brand to transform it into a leading vehicle for digital asset investors via public markets.
“I look forward to driving innovation with the Cypherpunk team and expanding its investment portfolio using fresh, creative ideas to drive shareholder value through investing in digital assets,” Wald stated.Following the appointment, Cypherpunk will hold its annual and “special meeting” of shareholders on July 30.
