His advocacy has earned him backing from prominent figures in crypto such as Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood .
Other U.S. politicians are also set to speak at Bitcoin 2024, including presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Republican Sens. In a Tuesday letter, U.S. tech industry group the Chamber of Progress has urged Biden to voice support for comprehensive crypto regulation, saying that Trump has capitalized on the Biden administration's lack of clarity.
Users on decentralized prediction market Polymarket currently forecast a 63% chance that Trump would win in the upcoming November presidential election, while only 13% predict a victory for Biden.
