BlackRock Executive: No other cryptocurrency ETFs will be introduced in the foreseeable future
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Samara Cohen, Chief Investment Officer for ETF and Index Investments at BlackRock, stated that while Bitcoin and Ethereum have met the investment giant's minimum expectations for ETFs, no other digital assets come close. Apart from the technical difficulties of pushing new ETFs to market, interest in other currency ETFs (especially Solana) has yet to emerge. Samara Cohen explained: "BlackRock certainly pays attention to investability, looking at what meets standards and what fits the delivery standards of ETFs. For us, both in terms of investability and what we hear from clients, Bitcoin and Ethereum definitely meet this standard but it will take some time before we see anything else."
