1. Mainstream Exchange Trends:

  • Coinbase has ceased support for native Bitcoin (BTC) and other UTXO coins on its payment platform for merchants, Coinbase Commerce. This decision was made due to difficulties in implementing recent updates on its EVM payment protocol. Coinbase users, however, can still pay with Bitcoin. In addition, Coinbase has recent plans to integrate the Lightning Network.

2. Cryptocurrency Trends:

  • Bitcoin staking chain BounceBit plans to launch its mainnet in April. Early access is now live on the official website, where early contributors can earn points based on TVL and referred users.
  • Pixels has announced that it will airdrop PIXEL to RON stakers. 20 million PIXEL are reserved to be distributed in two phases: the first 10 million tokens are in the process of distribution, and the second batch will be distributed within a month.
  • AVAX (Avalanche) is set to unlock 9.54 million tokens on February 22 at 8:00 AM. The tokens are valued at about $383 million, accounting for 2.6% of the circulating supply.
